What happened here?

Why does the site look so different? Am I being proactive and redesigning the site? Will this look completely cool when I'm done?

Nope.

The server that hosts this site had its system upgraded a few days ago. And like when you put a new Operating System on your computer and some old programs won't work with it, the old site portal didn't work with the new system on the server. So, I had to grab the database, load up the latest version of the site portal, and then re-link the database to the new site portal.

Now I have to start tweaking the design. It's gonna take a few weeks, but this should end up looking pretty similar to what it was before.

See You At The Pole - September 27

See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray—for their school, friends teachers, government, and their nation. See You at the Pole™ is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything.

God's Providence

Dad passed away this week.

And in spite of the grief, there is the joy in knowing that my father came to know Christ. He came to accept the Lord late in life, but spent the last twenty two years loving his extended Church family.

Wednesday, as our family got together with Pastor Rob and Pastor Roland to plan the funeral, I came to see how Dad's salvation had been part of God's plan the whole time. Long before I started praying for Dad's salvation. Long before I was even born, you can see the evidence that God's hand was guiding things all along.

Everytime I've participated in Planned Famines, I'm reminded of a story from a Christian musician named Randy Stonehill. Stonehill said that he grew up on American cinema where the good guys always triumph. His favorites being the type where the knight in shining armor comes riding over the hill to save the day.

From Godwilla to Purpose

San Fernando Holiness Church is less than a month away from starting its 40 Days of Purpose event. As I caught a glimpse of the theme for the kick-off event, I saw God's hand in things. The theme? Don't Waste Your LifeYup. Just like the theme at Godswilla. And we didn't pick the Godswilla theme knowing that 40 Days of Purpose was coming up. We picked it because we felt that's where God was directing us.So it seems to me that God is guiding Side-By-Side and Lamplighters to be actively participating in 40 Days of Purpose. I encourage all of you to be coming out every Friday night during those six weeks to learn the purpose that God created us for.... and to not waste our lives.
